1 One should love animals. They are so tasty.
2 Love the neighbor. But don't get caught.
3 Behind every successful man, there is a woman. And behind every unsuccessful man, there are two.
4 The wise never marry, and when they marry they become otherwise.
5 Never put off the work till tomorrow which you can put off today.

We've all heard the adage: monkey see, monkey do. But it is literally true—if a monkey sees you looking at something, it will look, too. Now, a study shows that this tendency for a monkey to track what another is looking at is age-dependent. And in a very similar way to the same behavior in people.
The ability to what's called “gaze-follow” is a fundamental skill that underlies our social lives. When we turn to see what other people see, we recognize their interest and join in their curiosity—or concern. Stand on a busy street corner and look up. It won't be long before you have a crowd of people trying to see what it is you're looking at. And other primates do it too.
Researchers studied a large population of free-ranging macaques on an island off Puerto Rico. One scientist would approach a macaque that was sitting by itself and would attempt to get its attention by clapping or snapping or by saying, “Monkey, monkey.” That's lead investigator Alexandra Rosati of Harvard. When the macaque made eye contact, Rosati would look straight up in the air. A second researcher would film the interaction to see whether the monkey also looked up.
The humans pulled the same stunt on nearly 500 monkeys of all different ages, from infants just two weeks old to elders of 28 years. And they found that, for macaques, gaze following kicks in a few months after birth, peaks in juveniles, and declines in old age—a pattern that matches what happens in humans. To see the results for yourself, take a look at the write-up in the Proceedings of the Royal Society B. [Alexandra G. Rosati et al, Rhesus monkeys show human -like changes in gaze following across the lifespan]

The current recession has left workers with many questions about their jobs. But one thing is certain: change. Economic conditions likely mean your firm is undergoing a transition, whether it's new management, emerging business priorities, a reduction in personnel or an increase in workload. How you pilot the winds of change can mean the difference between smooth sailing and rough waters。

Here are five tips:
😍1. Think through the "what ifs." Change can come without notice, leaving you little time to adapt. What would happen if you got a new boss tomorrow? If you were offered a promotion? If a colleague left, and you were asked to assume additional tasks? Considering how you would handle these types of scenarios will help you prepare for them。

😍2. Be in the know. Are you the first or last to learn what is happening in your department, company, or profession? Ideally, you want to be near the front of the pack. To be in that position, work on strengthening your relationships with coworkers. Getting to know others throughout your organization can help you stay apprised of new developments within the company. Reading industry publications can help you determine the skills employers seek, which technologies you may need to learn and how your field is weathering the current downturn。

Also, be aware of subtle signals that change is on the horizon. Is there an uptick in office gossip? Has your boss been in more closed-door meetings? Although you don't want to waste a lot of time speculating -- or be at the center of the rumor mill -- it can be helpful to be observant during uncertain times。

😍3. Learn from the best. Who in your organization is unflappable amid change? Invite this person for coffee or lunch to learn how he or she maintains grace under pressure。

😍4. Keep an open mind. Employers today seek professionals who are adaptable and open-minded. Let your boss know that you're willing to learn new skills or take on projects that might fall outside your normal duties。

🏁Physiotherapists have coined the term ‘wallet-neuropathy’ for the lower back pain caused by men sitting down (such as when driving or in the office) on wallets always carried in their back trouser pocket.

🏁The condition is triggered by the wallet pressing on sciatic nerves in the back and can lead to pain or numbness in the lower leg, ankle or foot.

Con air: Holidaymakers pay up to TWICE the price for perfume, alcohol and designer goods at duty free than online or in the high street

Drinks, perfume and designer goods can be more expensive in airport duty free shops than online, price comparisons show.

Shops in airport terminals trumpet the 'savings' available to those flying overseas, with shoppers often assuming the products will be cheaper.

But a look at a range of products on offer in the departure lounge stores shows many are available cheaper elsewhere.

Perfumes are among the products with the highest difference in price, with a number of brands cheaper online than at the airport.

A 100ml bottle of Burberry Touch for example is £24.75 at Fragrance Direct, half the £42.80 for which it is sold at airports by World Duty Free.

Meanwhile, a 90ml bottle of Versace Bright Crystal is £38.99 online as opposed to £54.85 in duty free stores.

Many Chinese tourists have fallen victim to shopping scams perpetrated by tour guides and local duty-free stores in Japan, Xinhua News Agency reported.
