因為《分手信》Dear John 紅透半邊天
但英文信開頭除了 Dear 之外還可以用什麼？
結尾的 Best regards 跟 Sincerely 用起來有差？
不論紙本還是 email
寫信該注意的開頭、結尾一次報給你知！

如何用 Dear 稱呼對方，基本上可以有下列這幾種分法：

不知道對方性別

Dear Sir/Madam
Dear Sir or Madam
To whom it may concern

知道對方是女性，但不知道名字

Dear Madam

知道對方是男性，但不知道名字

Dear Sir

知道對方的名字，但是沒有交情

Dear Mr./Ms./Dr./Professor (+ last name)
Dear Professor Smith
Dear Ms. Moore
注意：女生的話最好避免使用 Miss 、 Mrs. ，用 Ms. 最適當喔！

知道對方名字，跟他有些交情

Dear Iris/Halu

還有要注意一個地方，就是 Dear 後面一定是接「一個人」！

實用小撇步：如果對方在上一封信的署名上提供了他的 first name ，之後你寫信給對方的時候就要用對方的 first name 開頭！

講完了開頭稱謂要如何寫之後，再來學學如何漂亮收尾！
英文信的最後也跟中文信一樣會寫些祝福的話，常見的像是 Sincerely 、Yours truly，字面上常會讓人以為是「真心的朋友」，但其實更像是中文「敬祝順心」、「敬祝心怡」的意思喔！我們稱做結尾敬語。

Very truly yours,

除了上面 letter 提到的寫 email 時也都可以使用外， email 不一定要寫得像 letter 一樣這麼正式，跟已經熟識的同事、客戶就可以寫

不過要記得，只有第一個字母需要大寫，後面的字通通都要小寫喔！
